We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application, Finovate (the “App”), handles your information.

By using Finovate, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

  1. Information Collection and Use
  • No required personal information The App does not require you to create an account or provide personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, phone number, or physical address.
  • Financial calculations (EMI, SIP, etc.) All calculator inputs (amounts, rates, tenures, etc.) are processed locally on your device . These values are not transmitted to our own servers.
  • Portfolio, dashboard and other local data Any amounts, labels, or portfolio entries you enter into the App are stored locally on your device as part of your app data. We do not operate a backend server for this data.
  • AI features (Gemini, OpenAI, Perplexity) Finovate offers optional AI‑powered insights (for example: EMI explanation, SIP insight, portfolio explanation, daily tips, and a simple “Ask AI” question feature). When you use these AI features:
  • The text you type or speak (such as your question and summarised portfolio information) is sent over the internet to one of the selected AI providers (Google’s Gemini, OpenAI, or Perplexity) in order to generate a response.
  • We do not see or store this text on any OneStopTech server; it flows directly from your device to the selected AI provider via HTTPS.
  • The response from the AI provider is shown in the App and may be cached locally on your device.
  • You are advised not to include sensitive personal information (such as full name, bank account numbers, PAN, Aadhaar, passwords, or exact addresses) in your questions to AI. If you voluntarily include such information in free‑text fields, it may be processed by the chosen AI provider under their own privacy policies and terms.
  • AI API keys The App allows you to enter your own API key for AI providers (e.g. Gemini, OpenAI, Perplexity). These keys are:
  • Stored only on your device in the app’s local storage (SharedPreferences).
  • Used solely to call the selected AI provider’s API from your device.
  • Not transmitted to any OneStopTech server and not shared with any third party other than the provider you configure.
  • Advertising and usage data The App displays advertisements using Google’s AdMob. AdMob and related Google services may collect certain device and usage information (such as device identifiers, approximate location, IP address, and interaction with ads) to provide and improve advertising. This data collection is governed by Google’s own privacy policies and terms.
    We do not sell your personal data.
  1. Permissions

The App may request the following permissions to function correctly:

  • INTERNET Required to:
  • Fetch real‑time currency exchange rates from a third‑party API.
  • Call AI provider APIs (Gemini, OpenAI, Perplexity) when you use AI features.
  • Load ads from AdMob.
  • ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE Required to check if your device is connected to the internet before attempting network requests (e.g. currency rates, AI calls, ads).
  • WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (optional / if requested on your device) Used only if you choose features such as exporting or sharing a screenshot/PDF of your results. In that case, images or files are saved temporarily on your device to allow sharing via other apps (such as WhatsApp or Email). We do not upload these files to our own servers.
    Other runtime permissions (such as microphone access for speech‑to‑text via the system recognizer) may be requested by the Android operating system when you choose to use voice input. Those permissions are handled by Google’s services and are not used by us to store or send your audio to our own servers.
  1. Third‑Party Services

The App uses third‑party services that may collect information used to identify you or your device. These services are governed by their own privacy policies.

Examples include:

  • Currency exchange API Used only to fetch latest exchange rates for the currency converter. Typical data collected may include IP address and technical information required for security and logging.
  • Google AdMob Used to display banner and interstitial ads. AdMob may collect device identifiers, coarse location, and usage data for ad delivery, frequency capping, and fraud prevention. For more info, see Google’s privacy policy and Google Play services documentation.
  • AI providers Depending on the AI provider you select in the App, your finance‑related questions and summarised data may be processed by:
  • Google’s Gemini API
  • OpenAI API
  • Perplexity API
    These providers may log requests and responses in line with their own terms and privacy policies. You should review those policies before enabling AI features and avoid sharing sensitive personal information in your prompts.
    We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these third‑party services to understand how they handle your data.
  1. Children’s Privacy

Finovate is a personal finance education and calculator app intended for adults .

  • Our App is not directed to children under the age of 13 .
  • We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.
  • If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we can take appropriate action.
  1. Data Retention and Security
  • All calculator inputs, portfolio entries, and preferences (including AI keys and provider selection) are stored locally on your device.
  • We do not maintain user profiles or financial records on our own servers.
  • If you uninstall the App or clear its data from your device settings, locally stored data and preferences (including AI keys) are removed from your device.
  • Network communication with currency APIs, AI providers, and AdMob uses HTTPS where supported to help protect data in transit.
    However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
