Math Magic is designed to be a safe, offline-first educational environment. We do not require users to create an account, login, or provide any personal details (such as name, email, phone number, or location).
## 2. Microphone Usage (Voice Commands)
Our app uses the device's microphone solely for the **Voice Command** feature, which allows users to answer math questions by speaking.
* **How it works:** When you tap the microphone icon, the app listens for a brief moment to recognize numbers spoken by the user.
* **Data Handling:** This process is performed locally on the device (or via Android's standard speech recognition services). **We do not record, save, or transmit your voice recordings to any external server.**
* **No Permanent Storage:** The audio data is processed purely for the purpose of converting speech to text (the answer) and is discarded immediately after the answer is checked.
## 3. Parent Controls & Data
* **Parent PIN:** The app allows parents to set a 4-digit PIN to secure the Reward Vault. This PIN is stored locally on your device's internal storage and is never sent to us.
* **Game Data:** Progress, coin balance, and custom rewards are stored locally on the device. If you uninstall the app, this data will be lost.
## 4. Advertising and Analytics
* **No Ads:** Math Magic is completely ad-free. We do not display third-party advertisements.
* **No Tracking:** We do not use third-party analytics tools (like Google Analytics or Firebase) to track user behavior or collect device identifiers.
## 5. Children’s Privacy
Our app is designed for families and children (Ages 5-12). We comply with the **Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)** and Google Play's Families Policy.
* We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
* We do not include links to external websites within the child-directed parts of the game (links are restricted to the "About" section or Parent areas).
## 6. Permissions
The app requests the following permissions:
* **Record Audio (`android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO`)**: Strictly for the voice answer feature described in Section 2.
* **Internet (`android.permission.INTERNET`)**: Required by the Android Speech Recognition service to function accurately, and to open the User Guide/Support links in the parent section. We do not use it to send user data.
